Posts versus Pages
Posts and pages are very similar but there are a few differences. Posts are typically ordered from newest to oldest, whereas pages are not listed by date. Posts can be found in categories, archives, and many times have commenting functionality.
If your website has a blog, news page, or events page, it most likely is using posts. Please refer to Pages to learn how to add, edit, hide, or delete posts in the same way as pages.
Categories are very important and unique to posts. As a general rule, posts should have only one category. Depending on which category you choose will determine which section the post shows up in.
If you want to turn on or off comments for your posts, you can do so under “Discussion.”
If your website does not have make use of a blog, news page, or events page, and you would like to take advantage of this WordPress feature, please contact us for more information.
